Discreetly Straighten Teeth with Invisible Braces

Crooked, crowded or overlapping teeth can be more than a source of embarrassment. They can also lead to problems with your oral health by changing the stability of your bite, eventually leading to major dental work or other health concerns.

Lost Mountain Dental at Due West is a Marietta GA provider of both Invisalign® and Six Month Smiles, offering treatment with clear aligners for a wide range of dental health, cosmetic and budgetary concerns. Six Month Smiles is usually for those with only mild or moderate straightening issues. Drs. Mulkey at Lost Mountain Dental can advise which system would work best for you after a consultation.

Are Invisible Braces Right For Me?

Invisible braces offer a comfortable and discreet way to achieve a confident new smile for both adults. These systems will gently and discreetly reposition your teeth in six months to a year, with little impact on your daily activities. Invisible braces have become a popular teeth-straightening alternative to the metal braces and headgear. Traditional braces can cause discomfort when installed and maintained and cannot be taken off until treatment is finished. They also limit the patient’s diet and may make some feel even more self-conscious about their smile.

With invisible braces patients can still enjoy their favorite foods and maintain good oral hygiene. The aligners are usually worn for about 22 hours a day and are designed not to irritate the gums or sensitive areas of the mouth. Aligners are simply removed to brush and floss teeth or when it’s time to swap them out based on your treatment plan.

Am I Too Old For Invisible Braces?

Even though our teeth have grown into their places by adulthood, that does not mean you are too old or it’s too late to consider orthodontic treatment to straighten them. Many adults have used traditional braces, Invisalign ®, or Six Month Smiles to achieve their desired results. Invisible braces can be used to correct minor tooth movement after previous orthodontic treatment as well as underbite, overbite, and tooth spacing concerns.

Why Straighten My Teeth?

Straightening crooked or overlapping teeth is important for more than a cosmetic reasons. Crooked teeth are more easily damaged and more prone to decay which may eventually lead to more serious oral health issues. Pronounced overbites and underbites can also affect dental health by altering the stability of your bite, causing your teeth to wear unevenly. Additionally, teeth that are aligned properly are easier to brush and floss, preventing decay, plaque buildup and the problems that come with them.
