Battling Dental Fear

Do you have dental fear?

Believe it or not, dental fear is a common phobia that patients of all ages face. Dental fear prevents patients from getting the dental care they need, even when they know they have developed a serious dental concern. When a dental issue is left unaddressed, it can develop into a more advanced dental issue.

At Lost Mountain Dental, our team of dentists offers compassionate, patient-focused dental care for those suffering from dental fear and anxiety. Dr. Mulkey and our team take their time with each patient to listen to their concerns and tailor a personalized dental experience to ensure their comfort. Visiting the dentist does not have to be a traumatizing experience. Let our team at Lost Mountain Dental help you achieve a healthier smile in our comfortable Marietta dental office.

Sedation Dentistry in Marietta, GA

Sedation dentistry can be an effective, safe way for patients with dental fear to receive the treatment they need. Sedation dentistry is also ideal for patients who need multiple treatments in one visits, patients with a strong gag reflex, patients with a fear of needles, patients who are afraid of loud sounds, and patients who have a difficulty getting numb.

Our team will review your medical history, asses the condition of your oral health, and listen to your concerns before recommending the appropriate sedation for your needs.

If applicable, we may offer oral conscious sedation. Oral sedation is administered in the form of a pill that is taken before your treatment. Patients will need to coordinate a ride to and from our Marietta dental office if they are under oral sedation. Most patients report having little to no memory of their treatment.
